Children’s Program to Real World Program: Jordan G.

As a child, Jordan was enrolled in StepUp

Ministry’s Children’s Program when his

mother became part of our Life Skills

Program.

Years later Jordan returned to StepUp, but this time as a young adult participating in our Real World Program. Here, Jordan had the opportunity to discuss and explore intriguing topics with his peers and build on the strong foundation he created during his time in our Children’s Program. He also had the privilege of meeting StepUp Real World Coordinator and Participant Case Manager Nick Daley. 

Nick and Jordan bonded over discussions about Jordan’s hopes and dreams for the future and he encouraged Jordan to connect with StepUp staff to gain the guidance and encouragement he needed to achieve these goals. This level of mentorship demonstrates StepUp’s commitment to keeping our participants accountable and helping them always feel supported.

“My responsibilities are more mature now than when I was in the Children’s Program. I see things differently and think more effectively,” reflected Jordan. 

Jordan is a shining example of StepUp’s dedication to helping every participant and family achieve multi-age and multi-stage growth.
